Condo Spat Spurs a New Rights LawConnecticut lawmakers are taking up a fight between a Stratford, Conn., condo association and a tenant over a $50 daily fine it said it would impose if the woman didn’t remove a mezuza on her doorpost. Democratic Senate Majority leader Martin Looney announced legislation Tuesday that would protect residents’ rights to display religious symbols outside apartment doors.
