Guilty verdict upheld for ex-head of defective condo developer – The Mainichi Daily NewsTOKYO (Kyodo) — The Supreme Court rejected Monday an appeal by a condominium developer given a suspended jail sentence for defrauding customers by selling them condos with falsified earthquake-resistance data, legal sources said Tuesday. Susumu Ojima, 58, who formerly headed Huser Ltd., was sentenced to three years in prison, suspended for five years, by the Tokyo District Court in March 2008.
